375 down, 125 to go

4 08 2010

It has been about 1 week since my last post. Since then, I have not had internet. Since then, we have administered 428 surveys with a marginal error (mostly one or two unanswered questions) of 12% and decreasing. That puts us at 375 perfect surveys. This time around I am working with students from ACMEH, the Christian Medical Students Association of Honduras (ACMEH), and 3 out of the 5 days we have done surveys our team has been 15 or more. The plan is this: there are some students that have been working with us since the beginning (in June), they are leading individual groups. We meet in the morning at 8am and discuss the plan for the day, whether it be the layout of the neighborhood or plaza where we are surveying or meeting times and plans for lunch. Each leader evaluates the first few surveys of each person to check for unanswered questions, then check every three. When we meet for lunch I review every survey and clarify any issues we are having. Then we go out again for about an hour or so after lunch.

That is all for now. I will post updates if I have internet.

Hasta la vista!
